The San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden Interpretive Center is surrounded by five plazas, each with its own educational theme.
The path leading up to the Center is designed for universal access. When fundraising goals are met, this path will portray the circulatory system of a plant stem. A trail passes through the three water-treatment gardens and tells the story of how storm water and waste water is filtered and re-used on site.
